Cookie Policy

Last updated 13 July 2026

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. This page explains which ones we use, why, and how you can control them. When you first visit, a banner lets you Accept All, Reject All, or Customize your choices by category. You can change your mind at any time using the Manage Cookies link in the footer of every page.

Strictly necessary

Required for the website to function and cannot be switched off. This includes your shopping cart contents (stored in your browser, not on our servers), the checkout de-duplication token that prevents accidental duplicate orders, and, for staff signing in to the admin dashboard, a session cookie that keeps you logged in.

Functional

Optional cookies that would remember preferences you've set, to make your next visit smoother. None are currently in use — this category exists so we can offer this kind of preference in future without changing how consent works.

Analytics

Optional. When enabled, we use Vercel Analytics to understand aggregate traffic to this website — which pages are visited and how many people visit — without collecting any personally identifiable information or setting a tracking cookie tied to your identity across other sites. Vercel Analytics only loads after you grant this category.

Marketing

Optional. Would be used to measure and personalize marketing, if we ever run any. Not currently in use — this category exists so any future marketing tool is gated behind your consent from day one, rather than added later without you being asked.

Error monitoring

We use Sentry to detect and diagnose technical errors on this website. This may involve limited technical data (such as browser type and the page you were on when an error occurred) but is used solely to fix bugs, not to track you, and is not gated behind the categories above.

Your choice, stored and expiring

Your choice is stored in a first-party cookie for up to 12 months, after which you'll be asked again. If we materially change what these categories cover, you'll also be asked again, regardless of when you last chose. You can withdraw or change your consent at any time via Manage Cookies in the footer — this is exactly as easy as giving consent in the first place.

Browser controls

Most browsers also let you view, delete, and block cookies through their own settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies (such as your cart) will affect how this website functions — for example, your cart contents may not be preserved between visits.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the technologies we use change. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle personal data more broadly.

PepBioHack uses strictly necessary cookies to run this site, and optional cookies to understand traffic and (if we ever run any) marketing. See our Cookie Policy and Privacy Policy.
